DRP, Replenishment Planning
DRP is designed to actively manage any stock location or network of warehouses taking into account the numerous parameters facing the stock planner (lead times, min. order qty., order frequency and dates, forecast accuracy, min. and max. stock levels etc.)

The plan may be viewed in days, weeks or months and begins with the demand - created from the forecast and customer orders. Often, the forecasting period is longer than the planning period and this is easily accommodated within FuturMaster. For example, Monthly forecasts are typically split to a weekly demand for planning purposes based on user-defined parameters for each sku and customer orders are combined at either the weekly or monthly level as appropriate. No matter what the planning period is, FuturMaster can update frequently and be fully up to date with the latest customer order situation.

FuturMaster calculates required replenishment orders (from a supplier or production or warehouse) taking into account the full planning situation (stock-on-hand, stock-in-transit, firm planned orders, scheduled receipts etc.), the agreed supply parameters and the desired stock target over time. The stock target is critical to the active management of optimal stock levels and FuturMaster dynamically adjusts stock targets based on the sales demand and the required service level %.

Planning can operate at multiple levels and across networks of warehouses by using the FuturMaster Bill of Materials module.
